A quiet mountaintop refuge dedicated to Tsukuyomi’s blessing and balance.
🏮 I. Introduction
The Tsukuyomi Shrine is located high in the mountains of Mugen Kuppuku Island. It is a less popular shrine due to the distance and difficulty of climbing through untamed land to reach it. Villagers visit this shrine to pay respect to the deities in exchange for good business dealings, improvements in social status, and healthier family relationships. 🏮 II. Current Lore
The original kami of the shrine was tricked into leaving by a nogitsune, who then took the shrine as his own and posed as a messenger of Tsukuyomi. Unaware of the deceit, the villagers paid homage to the false kami until they eventually realized they had been fooled. The nogitsune was driven out, and the shrine was given a new, young, and inexperienced kami named Tsuki.
Tsuki has struggled to rebuild faith in the shrine after the damage done by the nogitsune’s corruption. Recently, Tsuki has also lost a great deal of strength due to the island’s spiritual turmoil, and now struggles to continue his duties.
