A modest sanctuary honoring the quiet, wandering winds of Fūjin.

🏮 I. Introduction

The Fūjin Shrine is located in the residential district of Mugen Kuppuku Island. It is a recently constructed shrine dedicated to honoring a kami who has watched over the island for centuries. For cultural information on this area, check the Wikipedia pages on Shinto Shrines and the Fūjin deity.

🏮 II. Current Lore

The kami enshrined here was originally the guardian of the Inari Shrine, but he was tricked and displaced by a nogitsune. Shunned by other gods and weakened by the deception, he lost nearly all of his power and was close to being forgotten entirely. A student eventually saved him by funding the construction of the Fūjin Shrine and enshrining him there.

This deity, known as Yura, now rests in this new sanctuary, drawing power from those who pay him respect.

Due to recent events, however, Yura has been nearly forgotten once more, and it is possible he has vanished entirely from existence.
